2026 Trainings
2.5hr Introductory Workshop Feb 2026:
Yoga for Resilience & Recovery: Neurodiversity, Mental Health & Invisible Illness Informed Practice
Where: Australian Yoga Academy
Curious about how yoga can better support neurodivergent brains, those impacted by trauma, or people who are living with and managing invisible / chronic illness? This 2.5-hour workshop offers a taste of the upcoming 30-hour Yoga for Resilience & Recovery Teacher Training running at AYA in April–May led by AYA YTT faculty member Caz Pringle-Bowden.
This session introduces key ideas from the full 30hr training:
How to create inclusive, compassionate spaces for all bodies and brains.
Understanding the impacts of neurodivergence, trauma, and invisible illness on yoga and movement practice and why adapting the way we teach can be hugely supportive for these groups.
Practical tools for inclusive cueing, language, studio considerations and class adaptations.
Strategies for supporting nervous system regulation and resilience.
You’ll leave with insights and tangible skills you can apply right away in your teaching or practice, along with a sense of how the extended training can deepen your knowledge.
Who It’s For
Yoga teachers, movement educators, health practitioners, and carers who want to build inclusive, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming practices.

30hr Training 2026:
Yoga for Resilience & Recovery: Neurodiversity, Mental Health & Invisible Illness Informed Practice
Where: Australian Yoga Academy
This 30 hour training is designed to provide yoga and movement teachers with the tools to create inviting, inclusive, and trauma-informed spaces for people with neurodivergent brains and those managing the common co-occurring invisible illnesses.
Drawing from the latest research in neurodiversity and person-centered practice, the training will provide a comprehensive framework to understand, support, and adapt practices for all bodies and brains.
The training brings together trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, mental health and invisible illness–aware approaches, so that yoga can truly meet people where they are — in recovery, in building resilience, and in life.
This training is compassionate and thoughtful, and aims to equip yoga teachers / facilitators with the knowledge, broader perspective, skills and sensitivity to create safe, inclusive, and neuro-affirming spaces where everyone can benefit from practice.

Testimonials
“Understanding the role of neurodiversity in women’s health is an essential component to providing individualised care for patients. Caz’s approach to education was clear and comprehensive, I felt I left the training sessions with an excellent framework of how to incorporate neurodiversity concepts in my day to day consultations.
All patients, just like us, want to feel heard and understood by their health care providers. If you are interested in expanding your knowledge in this area, I highly recommend one of her courses- who knows, you might even learn something about yourself that will surprise you!”
